Harleston Cinema - "Poster Boys" (12A) (Matinee)
Time & Location
About the Event
A simple but touching indie comedy with lots of heart and sunny energy. It tells the story of dysfunctional adult, Al Clancy, who mistakenly agrees to mind his smart-ass, 10-year-old nephew for a week, thereby jeopardising his home and job. Trying to save Al’s job they steal his mum’s campervan and embark on a criss-cross adventure putting up posters all over Ireland. When things go wrong and the boys get cranky, one of them realises that the other needs to grow up!
Film Ireland calls the film “a great escapist movie” (… which we surely all need…) “that packs a real punch, and leaves us with the uplifting message that families need to look out for each other no matter the circumstances they find themselves in … an Irish gem that will leave you in stitches … especially now when we need to stay positive and enjoy the little things in life…the viewer will be rooting for the 2 poster boys throughout the film.”
