Beech, Sergeant, William Arthur M.M.

1st Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment

William Arthur Beech was born in 1883 in Smethwick, Staffordshire. He joined the 1st Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment and was first wounded on 24 October 1915. After he recovered from his Injuries he returned to his Unit and was Killed in Action on 26 October 1917. He was awarded the Military Medal for bravery in the field. He was entitled to add the letters M.M. to his name. He is buried at the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.
