Places to Shop
Local traders have always been an important part of Harleston’s rich community life. Wednesday is still market day as it has been since 1259, with stalls in the Market Place and home-produced food available at the Harleston Country market at King George’s Hall from 9.30 to 11am.
Harleston is a vibrant, bustling market town due to its excellent array of independent speciality shops, mostly locally owned and run by people who are passionate about their products and service. Come and browse – you will be amazed at what you will find!

Branstock Fine Arts
Specialising in 20th Century original artworks, mostly by British and Irish artists. Our aim is to offer an exciting and interesting variety of affordable art to as wide an audience as possible. We also offer a limited selection of antique maps and prints. On our website, you will be able to browse a constantly changing stock by both subject and artist. We have been dealing in original art, antique maps and prints since 2003, initially selling both virtually and at fairs and shows. Whilst fully embracing the digital age, we appreciated the personal contact offered by meeting people at these events and it was this that prompted us to open a physical gallery. Nothing beats the personal touch!
Bullock Fair Charity Shop

One shop sells clothing, bric-a-brac, linens, shoes, games, toys and small items of furniture. The other sells books, CDs, DVDs, and paintings, with everything in good condition and very reasonably priced. Quite often there will be an unusual item such as an accordion, a vintage toy set or an elaborate gown, which makes the shop a great place to browse.
