Harleston’s Future runs an annual programme of flag displays in the town centre. The flags have been very popular again this year, making people smile, brightening up the dullest day, Harleston’s own “Feel good factor”. As well as Saint’s days, the flags always support any event held in the Town, not always just Harleston’s Future Events.
The flags are something to be very proud of, we are constantly being told people from other towns travel to Harleston just to drive through and see the flags. The programme has been so successful it has encouraged other towns to follow the lead. Come and see the original and largest display of flags.
The Flags are organised, purchased and put up by a group of Volunteers, FLAG FORCE, Nobody stands on a ladder, and the flags have magnets attached, so if it’s very windy and a flag does come out of the holder it will hang, not come down. We have over 80 flag holders in the town. If anyone would like to join our Team, please contact Harleston Future. We are a very friendly bunch, usually the flags are up early Sunday, but we need people during the week, usually 8 a..m, or 6.30 p.m. Read More >
