Scribbly Thoughts

Artist Scribbly said ‘My original design for Harleston Hare (I tend to think of him as ‘Harley’) is centred around the Waveney Valley. When first given the task of creating an image to cover Harley, I immediately thought of big open Norfolk skies- possibly because my first job in an Art Gallery / Shop was in Big Blue Sky, Wells-Next-The-Sea, North Norfolk. Turquoise sky and brightly coloured clouds have become a common theme in a lot of my recent work and its something I’ve always associated with living in Norfolk. The sky and the river were the first two elements I painted onto Harley and these became the back bone of the piece.’
