St Mary's Church and the Mayflower Free Audio Trail - Thursday 25th to Sunday 28th November 2021
The stunning model of the Mayflower, built for our 1620: A New World Odyssey production, has been moved to a new home in St Mary’s church, Redenhall, where the Fuller family who sailed on the Mayflower originally came from.
To celebrate the connection, an audio trail has been devised to commemorate 400 years since the first Thanksgiving meal. St Mary’s will be open from Thursday 25th to Sunday 28th November, 10.30am to 3pm. Visitors will be encouraged to walk round the church, listening to short audio clips about the treasures of the church as well as the fascinating story of the Fullers and the making of the Mayflower model.
Free entry, but any donation to St Mary’s will be gratefully received.
The project, headed by St Mary’s church, involves Harleston Players, Harleston Shed, Harleston’s Future and Harleston Town Council.
